Should there be worry over Boozer's bad hammy?
ANAHEIM, Calif. ‘ When Carlos Boozer hurt his left hamstring during the first week of the Jazz’s 2005 training camp, he wound up missing 49 regular-season games.
The Jazz went on to finish just .500 in that 2005-06 NBA seasons, and failed to make the playoffs.
Should there be similar concerns now?
The very same hamstring is sore again, prompting Boozer to decide today to sit out tonight’s preseason opener against the Los Angeles Lakers at the Honda Center here.
Boozer said he initially felt soreness on Sunday. But he also said he is sitting out chiefly as a ‘precaution,” and that he doesn’t think the injury is serious enough to keep him out for more than few days.
So ‘
Don’t worry? Be happy? Or fear that the injury could linger, perhaps so long that it causes Boozer to miss more than a mere exhibition game or two or three?
You make the call.
