Sitting out the sensible call for Boozer?
If tonight’s preseason loss to the Phoenix Suns had been a regular-season game for the Jazz, All-Star power forward Carlos Boozer would have played in it.
Boozer suggested as much beforehand, while speaking after the Jazz’s morning shootaround today.
But it wasn’t the real deal, so Boozer opted to sit this one out ‘ nursing a strained left hamstring that was sustained last Sunday and that also caused him to miss Tuesday’s preseason-opening win over the Los Angeles Lakers.
One reason for the extra caution: It’s the same hamstring Boozer tore back in the 2005-06 NBA season, when he got hurt during the first week of camp and wound up missing a whopping 49 games.
With five preseason games still to go for the Jazz, was playing it safe the sensible ‘ and right ‘ choice in this instance?
You make the call.
