So many injuries

DENVER ‘ Matt Harpring’s surgically repaired but strep-infected ankle is serious stuff.
The rest?
None, at this point, seem like cause for concern about long-term absences.
Still, the rundown of Jazz injuries and ailments since training camp opened late last month ‘ barely more than two weeks ago ‘ is long enough to make one cringe.
Brevin Knight: sore lower back, sprained thumb. Ronnie Price: bruised lower leg. Andrei Kirilenko: sprained index finger. Carlos Boozer: strained hamstring. Paul Millsap: corneal abrasion. Kosta Koufos: strained hamstring. Jarron Collins: elbow inflammation. Free agent Kevin Lyde: stomach bug. Free agent Gerry McNamara: sore jaw, whiplash, stomach bug.
Ten of 18 on the camp roster, eight of 15 with guaranteed contracts; is that everyone, or did one or two more slip by without a note from the doctor?
Millsap was hurt in practice Tuesday and will be a game-time decision for tonight’s exhibition game at Denver; all the rest have missed at least some camp practice and/or preseason game time because of their various medical maladies, and Kirilenko, Price, Collins and McNamara all are game-time decisions for tonight as well.
The world’s most-klutzy basketball team, and foreshadowing of a revolving door to the training room during the season to come?
Or simple preseason aches and pains not worth worrying about, much less wasting valuable ink and cyberspace on?
You make the call.
