Jazz can get some more sweet revenge

When the New York Knicks visit the ESA tonight, the Jazz will have a chance to avenge a previous loss this season against a fifth-straight opponent.
Phoenix had just beaten the Jazz on Wednesday, and they redeemed themselves with a wild OT win.
Houston beat the Jazz twice earlier this year. Avenged again.
Oklahoma City gave Utah a thunderous 114-93 blowout setback in January before the Jazz set things straight on the road a week ago.
Washington also whooped Utah this season – shockingly (not!), it was on the road – but the Jazz turned the tables on the Wizards on March 17 to begin this Revenge Streak.
Jazz fans – and the franchise – might have tried to put their loss to the Knicks in the far corner of their memories. It was Utah’s first defeat of the season after a 5-0 start and only one of 29 New York victories this year.

Sunday was a decent day for idle Utah in the playoff race.
Cleveland’s win over Dallas gave the Jazz a three-game cushion ahead of the Mavericks for the unenviable Lose-to-the-Lakers in the first round spot. Then, Phoenix’s stinging defeat at Sacramento gave the Jazz even more insurance that they’ll actually make the playoffs. The Suns are now six games behind Utah and three games out of the top eight.
New Orleans’ win over San Antonio could be considered good or bad for Utah. On one hand, the Hornets caught the Jazz at 45-27 for the sixth seed – the bright side of that is the how on paper it appears New Orleans has an even tougher schedule than the Jazz down the stretch. And Utah’s season-ending itinerary is brutal.
The Hornets’ victory also put the Spurs within just two games’ reach for the No. 2 spot, meaning everything between 2 and 7 is basically still up for grabs.
Jerry Sloan might not be watching the standings and the scoreboard, but it should be fascinating to see the spot-swapping over the next two weeks.
The Jazz are the only Western Conference contender in action tonight.
