Over-coaching against Toronto

Heading into tonight’s visit with San Antonio, one lingering item from the Jazz’s win over Toronto on Wednesday night:
Jazz coach Jerry Sloan readily faulted himself for a mini-collapse at the end of the opening half against the Raptors, when Toronto cut what had been an 18-point Jazz lead with just more than two-and-a-half minutes to go in the second quarter to nine at the break.
“I probably over-coached the end of first half, when I was trying to save Paul (Millsap) and (Carlos) Boozer from getting three fouls,” Sloan said.
The Raptors closed the half with a Marco Belinelli 3-pointer, a Chris Bosh jumper, two Jose Calderon free throws and four Bosh free throws.
Millsap picked up his third nonetheless with 1:03 to go in the half and was replaced by Kosta Koufos, who fouled Bosh with 7.2 seconds left.
“Paul ended up getting three, and I got Boozer out,” Sloan said, “but we gave up a lot of baskets.”
