MINNEAPOLIS — A couple of interesting parting thoughts from Jazz coach Jerry Sloan following Saturday night’s loss at Minnesota here that didn’t make the newspaper game story and won’t make the follow notebook either:

“It looked like we were committed to going to a little too much 1-on-1 by ourselves,” Sloan said …

Regarding Minnesota’s 57.1 percent shooting from the field:
“If you can’t guard anybody any better than that,” Sloan said, “I don’t know how you expect to even think about winning. And throwing the ball to them for 25 points on turnovers? That doesn’t give you much of a chance at all.”
The Jazz committed 14 turnovers in all, including six charged to Carlos Boozer.
