Trade deadline day update

NEW ORLEANS — All 13 Jazz players were at practice here this morning, so as of 9 a.m.-ish (mountain time) no Utah trades had been made on the NBA’s final day for dealing this season.
The league’s trade deadline passes at 1 p.m. (mountain time) today, and this morning no one with the Jazz — at least among those in New Orleans, where the team won Wednesday night — was expecting a deal to go down.
Nor was coach Jerry Sloan planning on talking to his club on the subject.
“Until I get a phone call, I haven’t given it much thought,” Sloan said this morning.
“You know,” he added, “(general manager) Kevin (O’Connor) does his job every day — and I’m sure he has things that go on, and for time you’re always talking about different things, but I don’t see anything happening.”
