Jazz jersey sales are, um, out of sight
The NBA just released its most-popular lists for jerseys and team merchandise. This will come as a shocker: The Utah Jazz aren’t very popular nation-wide (or Jazz fans are cheap/broke/or stores didn’t stock enough I *heart* Korver shirts).
I asked the NBA to give me the rankings of Jazz players’ jerseys and where the Jazz ended on the team popularity list, and the league office gave me a Dikembe Mutombo finger wag.
So, we’ll just assume Kyrylo Fesenko’s jersey is 16th, Deron Williams is 17th and the rest – from Carlos Boozer to Othyus Jeffers – are tied for 18th. I’m gonna go out on a limb and claim Utah finished in the top 30 for team merchandise sales, too.
Here are the rankings the NBA did release.
