A couple points on the points

ANAHEIM – Jerry Sloan’s impressions of Deron Williams after his All-Star point guard played Tuesday for the first time since sitting out two preseason games?
About what you’d expect, the Jazz coach suggested.
“I think he’s a little rusty, had played for a day or two,” Sloan said of Williams, who had 10 points and five assists while shooting 2-for-5 from the field and logging 29 minutes in Tuesday night’s 82-74 preseason win over the Los Angeles Lakers here. “And I think that’s to be expected. He’ll get better.”
And Sloan’s impressions of veteran point Earl Watson, who closed Tuesday while Ronnie Price – the other entrant in a battle for the primary No. 2 spot behind Williams?
“I thought he did a good job pushing the ball up the floor,” Sloan said. “I think we made some miscues where we took some tough shots because we didn’t execute quite as well, but I thought he got us up the floor and kept the tempo of the game a little bit more in our favor a time or two.”
Watson, who had five points and two assists while Price was scoreless with no assists in seven minutes, was signed as a free agent in the offseason.
“You know, he (Watson) hasn’t been here to run the plays – and we’ve got, probably, too many at times,” the Jazz coach added. “But that’s part of it. You learn through mistakes.”
