Paging Kyrylo Fesenko
Jazz coach Jerry Sloan credited his bench for providing a big lift in Friday’s 113-106 win at Denver.
C.J. Miles hit three 3-pointers and had 13 points despite foul problems.
Earl Watson returned to his reserve role after starting the past four games at point guard, and contributed eight points, six steals and six assists.
Jeremy Evans also scored six, including his daily alley-oop dunk from Watson to start the fourth quarter and a highlight-worthy monstrous putback slam in which Elevator Evans elevated to the 11th floor and returned the ball through the hoop on Level 10.
Not to forget Kyrylo Fesenko, who provided an early spark with a sweet spin move for a slam, two blocked shots, a nice pass to Paul Millsap for an easy bucket and three bounds.
Fes ended his night with a foul spree during which he committed three fouls in 26 seconds.
“Fes got a little carried away. I don’t know what building he was in. I’m about ready to find out,” Sloan quipped. “But sometimes they don’t play a lot and the anxiety gets to them, too.”
