Jazz local TV schedule announced
The Jazz will have 64 of their 66 games on ROOT Sports, formerly known as Fox Sports Utah/Rocky Mountain. The other two games (Dec. 27: Lakers and Jan. 19: Dallas) will exclusively be on TNT.
Both preseason games will be broadcast by ROOT Sports as well.
Also of interest, longtime Jazz assistant coach Phil Johnson will join Scott Garrard and Tom Nissalke for pregame and postgame radio analysis on 1320 KFAN.

SALT LAKE CITY (December 9, 2011) — The Utah Jazz and its official television partner, ROOT SPORTS, announced today the 2011-12 telecast schedule for Utah’s upcoming NBA season. ROOT SPORTS will televise Jazz games for the 23rd consecutive season. ROOT SPORTS will also show the Jazz’s two preseason games on December 19 at Portland and December 21 at home vs. Portland.
This season, 64 regular season games will be televised by ROOT SPORTS with each game distributed in high definition (HD). The remaining two regular season games, December 27 at L.A. Lakers and January 19 vs. Dallas, will be televised exclusively by TNT. For the second consecutive season, seven-year play-by-play announcer Craig Bolerjack will team up with former Jazzman Matt Harpring for the majority of the ROOT SPORTS telecasts.
Ron Boone will return to the Jazz for his 24th season with the franchise and continue to appear on telecasts for select games. Primarily, he will work in his second season as an analyst alongside Jazz radio voice David Locke, who enters his third season with the team. The pre and postgame radio show will feature Scott Garrard, who will be joined by former Jazz assistant coach Phil Johnson and former Jazz head coach Tom Nissalke. The two will split time on the broadcast. The 2011-12 season also marks the second straight year the Jazz will carry a Spanish radio broadcast. Fernando Hortal and Nelson Moran will call the action on ESPN Deportes with Hortal serving as the play-by-play voice and Moran as the analyst. Dan Clayton will work as the sideline reporter for all home broadcasts.

All 64 telecasts on ROOT SPORTS will feature a 30-minute pre and postgame show, along with a halftime show, hosted by Alema Harrington and analysts Thurl Bailey, Ron Boone and Phil Johnson. In addition, ROOT SPORTS will re-air each game immediately following the postgame show.

Of the 64 regular-season games ROOT SPORTS will carry, 32 are home games and 32 are away. ROOT SPORTS begins its telecast schedule with the Jazz’s second regular season contest December 28 when the Jazz travel to Denver to face the Nuggets.
All Jazz preseason, regular-season and playoff games will be broadcast live on radio on 1320 KFAN (AM)/B98.7 (FM) and the Jazz Radio Network.
