Dates of Jazz-Spurs series

The NBA just released partial info of the Jazz-Spurs series, including the dates and times for first three games:

Game 1 — Sunday, April 29 — Utah at San Antonio — 11 a.m., ESPN

Game 2 — Wednesday, May 2 — Utah at San Antonio — 5 p.m., TNT

Game 3 — Saturday, May 5 — San Antonio at Utah — 8 p.m., TNT

Game 4 — Monday, May 7 — San Antonio at Utah — TBD

Game 5 * — Wednesday, May 9 — Utah at San Antonio — TBD

Game 6 * — Friday, May 11 — San Antonio at Utah — TBD

Game 7 * — Sunday, May 13 — Utah at San Antonio — TBD

*If necessary

P.S. I’m not the first and won’t be the last to mention/notice this, but this unexpectedly spread-out series schedule seems like it might favor a certain team with old legs.

What’s up with the 11:00 am start time. Doesn’t that seem ridiculously early? And I’ve got church!

You have my permission to miss church. The game tips off in San Antonio, so it will be noon there. The NBA has a full slate that day, so it has to start early to maximize eyeballs on TV sets.

Dude is an idiot. Every year the first round is spread out. It has been that way for years.Jazz had no chance to begin with

Except this ISN’T every year because of the lockout. Plus, it was Commish Stern who said the series would be more compressed than usual.
