Jody Genessy, the Jazz beat writer for the Deseret News, appeared on 1320 KFAN Tuesday afternoon to discuss NBA free agency with Gunther and Graham.

During their 15 minute discussion, Genessy discussed the players most likely to return to the Utah Jazz organization, naming ‘Big Al’ Jefferson as one unlikely to wear a Jazz uniform again.

“He’s supposed to meet with the Bobcats (Wednesday). He’s a great guy. He’s going to score 70 points per game if he goes to Charlotte, and he’s going to earn a boatload of money, but it appears that the Jazz and Jefferson are going to part ways. When the Jazz go to Paul Millsap’s home first thing Sunday night and Al (Jefferson)’s name is linked with the Bobcats, that kind of gives you a picture of where things are going to head.”

Furthermore, Genessy discussed other players that played for the Jazz last year, naming a series of players he thinks are the most likely to return to a Jazz uniform this upcoming season.

As for the upcoming summer league, Genessy gave Gunther and Graham an update on the status of the team in addition to who will make up Utah’s summer league roster.

As @DJJazzyJody himself said, stay tuned to for further updates on Jazz free agency!

I would really like to see Millsap back, he’s homegrown and with some security from a long-term contract and a more defined role think he’ll have a career resurgence and be worth every penny of a 3 year $30M contract.
